London-based indie alt rock band Emma and the Fragments announced the release of their highly anticipated new single, 'Small Talk' The track is the latest single from the band's upcoming EP, 'Beneath the Polite Surface,' which will be released in Winter 2024.
With its infectious melody, meaningful lyrics and expert production (Dan Cox, Urchin Studios) and creative mastering (Stephen Kerrison, Weird Jungle Collective), Small Talks showcases their memorable sound, of harmonic guitar riffs, catchy melodies and Emma's bright and pure vocals.
Initially inspired by Emma's dislike of small talk, the song explores the value of introversion and introspection in a world that likes to overshare. Speaking about the single Emma said, "I believe the song will resonate with the listener, as it's not uncommon to feel the pressure to share, especially on social media!"
The genre of the song is indie rock/alt rock, inspired by bands like Florence and the Machine and St Vincent. 'Small Talk' will be available on all major streaming platforms on the 26 September 2024
